Residents witnessed giant hailstones as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts confirmed that various areas across Queensland had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Simultaneously, around 1,000 energy customers in the southern state also experienced power outages after the metropolitan area saw its most precipitation in 18 months.

Rescue organizations received over five hundred calls for help across the region, mostly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

Weather Forecast

Moist weather were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.

The following day was predicted as the most rainy day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential expected across multiple regions of both regions.

Medical authorities warned that there was an higher risk of weather-related respiratory issues across the state's northern country region, particularly given the current weather patterns.
